After having served a one year tour of duty in Iraq, 2003-2004, I have returned home fully convinced of the immorality of this war. I strongly believe it is my moral obligation to actively oppose this war, as well as help educate the American public on the futility of current U.S. foreign policy toward the Middle East.

I am currently at Camp Bucca on Stop Loss orders. Ive been in for 7 years and I have done two tours in Iraq.

I deployed to Iraq for 13 months and turned against the wars during that time. I refused deployment to Afghanistan in April 2009 and was incarcerated few months later. I was discharged from the Army in October 2009.

I served 7 months in Iraq from January to July 2004 in Baghdad and Najaf. I was wounded by an IED and was awarded a purple heart. In January 2005 I went AWOL to Canada and after almost two years of fighting to open the doors for others I was being deported so I came back in October 2006. I was discharged without a court martial because my unit was in Germany. Peace much love and most of all Resist!!!!

Trained as Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician, Ammunition Specialist; cross-trained as a Heavy Wheeled Vehicle Operator and Convoy Security Escort in Kuwait and Iraq. Graduating with honors with an Associates in Business in Spring 2009 and starting at University in the Fall. President of Business Professionals of America and Vice President of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at my school.

I served in the United States Navy from 1998-2006 as a Cryptologist. I joined the military for many of the same reasons; money for school, duty, travel, etc. I am grateful for the opportunity to have served my country, but I am honored for being a part of IVAW.

I served in the Michigan Army National Guard for six years as a 13B (Artilleryman) in Charlie 1-119th. I was mobilized to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to serve in Camp Delta as a prison guard.
